The Ludlow Massacre Memorial Site is located in remote Las Animas County, erected in 1918 to memorialize the striking miners and families who lost their lives in the Ludlow Massacre, resulting in 20 deaths. The massacre played a pivotal role in the push to develop America’s worker rights and labor laws.
