Denver firefighter hospitalized after blaze north of downtown
A Denver firefighter was taken to the hospital with burns on his back after an under-construction single family dwelling burned Monday afternoon.
The fire, which burned near the intersection of 33rd Avenue and Navajo Street just north of Interstate 25, was described as “heavy” in a Monday evening social media post from Denver Fire.
The firefighter sustained burns to his back in a small area and was taken to Denver Health for treatment, according to the post. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
