Denver weather: Partly sunny with severe thunderstorms and hail on Monday afternoon
Be ready for potentially golfball-sized hail Monday afternoon in Denver.
Denver residents can expect partly sunny skies on Monday morning, with a high of 84, followed by potential severe thunderstorms and hail after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There will be isolated to scattered showers across parts of northeastern Colorado with a growing threat for large hail over the Denver Metro area and the Palmer Divide, the weather service said in a post on X.

In addition to the hail, there is a fire weather watch is in place with dry conditions creating critical fire conditions according to the weather service in Boulder.
West winds could reach up to 13 mph in Denver on Monday, forecasters said.
Tonight, the weather service said to expect partly cloudy skies and a low of 57 with wind gusts up to 21 mph.
The sun will return on Tuesday with a high of 93 and breezy conditions which are expected to last throughout the week.
