Eastbound Interstate 76 closed due to multiple-vehicle crash
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 are closed Monday morning after a multi-vehicle crash in Commerce City.
At about 4:23 a.m. Monday, troopers with Colorado State Patrol (CSP) responded to the crash on I-76 just east of 88th Avenue.
At least five vehicles and a semi truck hauling a trailer were involved in the crash, according to CSP. Two drivers were taken to the hospital, CSP said. The extent of injuries of the drivers transported is unknown.
As of 6 a.m. Monday, eastbound lanes are still closed. It is unknown when the interstate will reopen. Drivers are being asked to find alternate routes.
