Denver Pioneers hockey to host USA Hockey’s National Development Program for exhibition | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Denver Pioneers hockey will take on all comers.

The Pios said Wednesday they will host USA Hockey’s National Development Program for an exhibition game at Magness Arena on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Can’t hurt recruiting, either. The NTDP features some of the best American hockey players on Under-17 and Under-18 teams. The NTDP competes in the United States Hockey League, the top junior league in the U.S.

Former Pioneers stars who competed with the NTDP include Troy Terry, Zeev Buium, Sean Behrens, Jack Devine, Kristian Epperson and Brendan McMorrow.

The reigning NCAA champion, Denver opens the season at Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 2-3. The Pios open their home slate vs. Michigan on Oct. 16-17.
