A man was killed early Thursday after crashing his motorcycle in Aurora.

Aurora police said the crash happened at about 2:40 a.m. at South Gun Club Road and East Louisiana Parkway.

Investigators determined the motorcyclist was traveling south on Gun Club Road when he lost control, slid across a roadway and struck a curb.

He died at the scene. Police said he was wearing a helmet.

He will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
