Aurora police are investigating three separate shootings that occurred over the weekend, leaving one person with life-threatening injuries and two others wounded.

Officers first responded shortly after 12:15 a.m. Saturday, to reports of a juvenile who arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of North Dayton Street.

Police said in a news release that officers located numerous shell casings and other evidence at the scene and believe an exchange of gunfire took place.

The juvenile sustained non-life-threatening injuries. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made, officials said. 

In a separate incident just before 1 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 14000 block of East Iowa Drive. Authorities contacted multiple people in the area but were unable to identify a suspect, officials said. 

About 20 minutes later, officers learned an adult woman had gone to a hospital with injuries linked to the shooting. Investigators said she was in the area when she was struck by gunfire. She was treated and released a short time later. 

Police also found a vehicle connected to the incident that had been damaged. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

A third shooting occurred around 1:18 a.m. Sunday in the 11600 block of East 16th Avenue. 

Officers initially responded to reports of gunfire and later determined an adult man had gone to a hospital with a gunshot wound related to the incident.

Police said a large gathering had been taking place in the area, where officers located evidence of gunfire. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and no suspects are in custody, officials said.
