Boulder Main Library evacuated, bomb squad called after suspicious package
The Boulder Main Library was evacuated Tuesday evening and a suspect was arrested after a report of a suspicious package, authorities said.
The Boulder Police Department posted on social media just after 5 p.m. Tuesday saying that the library was closed and under evacuation, and that a bomb squad was en route.
The department followed up with another post just before 6 p.m. saying they had arrested a suspect in connection with the threats, which began around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.
As of 5:20 p.m., the bomb squad confirmed there was no threat to the public and cleared the scene, the department said. The library will remain closed for the evening, but will reopen Wednesday as per its usual schedule.
