One in custody after Tower Road crash

Police tape

A police pursuit on Friday morning ended with a crash near 40th Avenue and Tower Road, according to a social media post from the Aurora Police Department.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, Aurora Police said. It’s unclear whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Tower Road was closed in both directions at East 38th Avenue, but some traffic is getting through again. Some lanes are still blocked as a result of the investigation.

A separate rollover crash near Interstate 70 and E470 is connected to the pursuit, according to Aurora Police. They did not say how it was related or if anyone was injured in that crash.
