Denver International Airport offers reserved parking

Travelers at Denver International Airport can now reserve a parking spot up to 90 days before their flight, the airport announced Monday.
The Denver airport introduced its premium reserve parking in an effort to make arriving for flights more convenient. The parking spots will be in the former valet areas on the fourth level of each Arrivals garage and are close to the terminal so flyers can save time from walking or taking the shuttle.
The premium reserve parking spaces will cost $50 a day, the airport said.
The parking system uses license plate reading technology upon entrance and exit, the airport said. The tech will detect a car’s license plate and grant travelers access to their reserved parking spot.
Travelers can book their spots 90 days before their flight and up to five minutes before arriving on FlyDenver.com/Park.
Denver’s airport is one of the busiest in the country. It had a record-breaking number of passengers in 2023 and is upgrading its infrastructure to handle its growth including a new security checkpoint that opened earlier this month.
Parking is still a pain point for many travelers, airport spokesperson Stephanie Figueroa told The Denver Gazette.
DIA previously had valet parking which ended during the COVID-19 pandemic and the spaces were then used by employees, Figueroa said.
As travel started returning to normal, Figueroa said the airport reevaluated what to do with the former valet-area and the parking team decided a reservation system would help especially during the busy holiday season when its garages fill up quickly.
“At DEN, we are constantly striving to improve the travel experience for our passengers,” the airport’s CEO Phil Washington said in a statement. “Premium Reserved Parking offers a seamless and efficient parking solution, allowing travelers to focus on their trip without the added stress of finding parking.”
