Boulder authorities seek 3 motorcyclists after road rage shooting turned pursuit

Boulder authorities are requesting the public’s help in finding three motorcycle riders who allegedly opened fire on a vehicle during a road rage incident-turned-pursuit on Saturday.
At around 5:30 p.m., police responded to Boulder Fire Rescue Station 2 to meet with a man who claimed to be shot at while traveling along Flagstaff Road, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the incident involved three motorcyclists on the way to Boulder, before they stopped the driver and opened fire.
As authorities were interviewing the victim at the fire station, he saw the three motorcycle suspects passing by, prompting police to engage in a pursuit, according to sheriff’s officials.
During the pursuit, the motorcyclists traveled towards Denver on U.S. 36. The pursuit continued into Broomfield, near Flatirons mall, before the motorcycle riders fled, authorities said.
Before shots were fired, authorities also pointed to a vehicle of interest that was seen engaging with the suspects at the 1000 block of Flagstaff Road near Panorama point.

Authorities ask the public if they know the suspects or the vehicle who engaged with the suspects to contact the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office at 303-441-3674 or BCSOtips@bouldercounty.gov.
The sheriff’s office is leading the investigation.
