Colorado women’s basketball to recognize Jaylyn Sherrod on Wall of Honor | Colorado Sunshine
Where good news shines
Colorado women’s basketball is introducing a one-stop shop to showcase its extensive history.
CU announced Friday a Wall of Honor at CU Events Center that will pay tribute to six former players “who made significant contributions to the program and CU Athletics,” the school said.
The first player going on the Wall of Honor is Jaylyn Sherrod, who will be recognized when CU hosts Portland State on Sunday, Nov. 16.
“Jaylyn Sherrod is one of the all-time greats at the University of Colorado,” coach JR Payne said. “She embodied everything that makes being a Buff so special — passion, integrity and relentless drive.”
Sherrod is Colorado’s all-time leader in games started with 133 and helped the Buffs to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. She won a WNBA title with the New York Liberty in 2024.
