Colorado School of Mines’ Sofia Baldessari earns RMAC award after big week | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

Colorado School of Mines forward Sofia Baldessari was named RMAC women’s basketball offensive player of the week after recording back-to-back double-doubles in an Orediggers sweep.

Mines beat CSU Pueblo (73-70) and Colorado Christian (77-69) as Baldessari totaled 52 points and 24 rebounds. She averaged 26 points and 12 rebounds across the two games.

UCCS senior guard Amyah Moore Allen was named RMAC defensive player of the week after a sweep of Regis and MSU Denver. She had 42 points and nine steals over the two games.

Colorado School of Mines (11-8, 6-2 RMAC) plays at Regis (0-12, 0-9) at 5 p.m. Thursday.
