Nuggets’ Jamal Murray falls short at NBA All-Star 3-point contest

Jamal Murray won’t be adding 3-Point Champion to his list of accomplishments just yet.

The Nuggets’ starting point guard scored 18 points in the first round of the competition on Saturday in Inglewood, California, which was not enough to advance.

Damian Lillard, who has yet to play in a game in his return to Portland this season, won the competition for the third time in four years, beating Phoenix’s Devin Booker and Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel.

Murray and Nikola Jokic will represent the Nuggets in the All-Star Game on Sunday night at the Intuit Dome.
