Denver weather: Clearing Monday afternoon after overnight snow
Winter storm warnings in effect for eastern Plains and Front Range mountains
Any remaining snow showers end early Monday morning ahead of sunny skies by afternoon around metro Denver.
Denver residents can expect a 30% chance of snow showers, mainly before 7 a.m., then cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing and a high near 60, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Expect light and variable winds today, becoming northeast between 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight it’ll be clear, with a low around 38. Northeast winds to blow between 5 to 8 mph become light and variable.
On and off chances of rain around the city during the week with highs in the low 70s are forecast. A cold front will arrive for Friday when chances for snow are possible and highs only reach into the upper 40s.

Tuesday: A 20% chance of showers after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 71. South southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Southwest wind around 7 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
Thursday: A 30% chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Breezy.
Friday: Rain and snow showers likely, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47.
