Contest launches to find Stock Show national anthem singer
A beacon of Colorado's Western tradition for 119 years, national anthem singers are needed for the best 16 days of January
National anthem singers are needed to be part of Colorado’s biggest and most historic Western event.
The National Western Stock Show has launched a national anthem contest to find a singer to be part of the 119th annual show which opens Saturday, Jan. 11, and continues through Sunday, Jan. 26.
A Colorado tradition since 1906, the part-rodeo, part-livestock show and part-fair brings hundreds of thousands of people to the National Western Complex each year for a celebration of our state’s agricultural heritage.
Interested singers can submit a video submission through Sunday, Oct. 20, at midnight.
The top nine videos will be selected for a round of voting through Nov. 6 and a grand prize winner will be announced Nov. 7 on Denver country music radio station 98.5 KYGO.
The winner will get to sing the national anthem at a pro rodeo during the 2025 National Western Stock Show.
