Avalanche, Nuggets game streaming: 5 things to know about Altitude+
Altitude Sports will release app in October for direct-to-consumer game broadcasts
Altitude Sports is evolving with a direct-to-consumer streaming option for Avalanche and Nuggets games. Here are five things you need to know about the Altitude+ app:
1. It will be available in October. Kroenke Sports and Entertainment did not provide a specific date. But KSE president of media and team operations Kevin Demoff posted on social media: “We are doing our best to have Altitude+ ready for the first Avalanche game on Altitude which is the home opener October 12th.” The Nuggets season opener is Oct. 24.
2. The cost is $19.95/month. All games that are not exclusive to national networks will be available to watch on Altitude+. It can be downloaded to iOS or Android devices. A smart TV app is also in development.
3. It is available in nine states. The broadcast territory for Altitude Sports is Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota and Wyoming.
4. On-air talent is the same. For Nuggets games: Christopher Dempsey, Bill Hanzlik, Scott Hastings, Vic Lombardi, Chris Marlowe and Katy Winge. For Avalanche games: John-Michael Liles, John Mitchel, Marc Moser, Kyle Keefe, Mark Rycroft and Yan Stastny.
5. It is more than game broadcasts. Altitude+ will also stream live pregame shows and postgame shows for Avalanche and Nuggets. Plus, regional coverage of Colorado State, University of Denver and Air Force athletics.
