Centennial bank robbery suspect arrested
Leonard Farrar was arrested in connection with a bank robbery at Key Bank on E. Smoky Hill Road
Investigators have arrested a Centennial bank robbery suspect linked to the Tuesday robbery at a Key Bank, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO).
Leonard Farrar, 38, was taken into custody on Wednesday by ACSO investigators and the FBI Denver’s Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, according to an ACSO tweet.
Just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the bank robbery report at the Key Bank at 20290 E. Smoky Hill Rd. in Centennial, just north of Falcon Creek Middle School, according to an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office tweet.
The suspect fled the scene.
The bomb squad was on the scene to examine a device the suspect left in the bank, according to the tweet.
Farrar is being held on a felony charge of aggravated assault, according to the ACSO.
