Man sustains life-threatening injuries after Aurora shooting Friday night

A shooting in Aurora seriously injured a man on Friday night.

The man, who was shot at 11:21 p.m. in the parking lot of the 300 block of S. Ironton Street in Aurora, was driven to the hospital after the incident, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

The incident occurred outside a building that houses residential condominiums.

After the shooting, people inside the building who heard the shots outside found the man in the parking lot and drove him to the hospital, the police said. 

Police said they do not yet have information about what circumstances led to the shooting or the relationship between the man and the people who drove him to the hospital.

Authorities also did not have information about any suspect.
