Police investigating fatal hit-and-run in Denver
One person was killed after being struck by a vehicle in the Five Points neighborhood on Monday and officers are searching for witnesses or anyone with information, the Denver Police Department said.
The accident happened shortly after 9 p.m. when a white vehicle, possibly a minivan, traveling northwest on Park Avenue West struck a woman at Court Place, according to a Metro Denver Crime Stoppers bulletin.
Officers found the woman and took her to a hospital where she would later die from her injuries, according to the bulletin.
Police said the white vehicle failed to stop and continued toward Interstate 25 on Park Avenue West.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters who provide information that lead to an arrest or conviction could earn up to $2,000.
