Man dead after shooting in Denver’s Montclair neighborhood

The Denver Police Department is investigating after a man was fatally shot in the Montclair neighborhood late Sunday night.

Police said the shooting happened before 10:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Jersey Street, near East Colfax Avenue and North Monaco Parkway.

The victim, identified as a man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Police announced he had succumbed to his injuries at 3:45 p.m. Monday.

Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting. No suspect information is available as of Monday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
