Southbound I-25 closed in Weld County after crash
Highway reopened at 6 a.m. Wednesday
WELD COUNTY, Colo. — The southbound lanes of Interstate 25 are closed north of the Denver metro area Wednesday morning.
Colorado State Patrol said southbound I-25 is closed between Colorado Highway 119 and Highway 52, near Firestone, at Mile Point 240. CSP said commuters should expect delays due to safety concerns.

“Initial reports show one semi was stopped in the right lane for an unknown reason,” CSP reported early Wednesday. “A second semi traveling southbound struck the stopped semi in a rear-end collision. The driver of the stopped semi, a 29-year-old male from Salem, Oregon, had no injuries. The driver of the second semi, a 48-year-old male, was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries.”
