Construction worker rescued from trench in Parker
Firefighters rescued a construction worker from a trench in Parker Tuesday morning.
South Metro Fire Rescue officials were dispatched to the construction site near Pine Lane Twenty Mile Road in northern Parker at 8:28 a.m., said Connor Christian, a public information officer for the agency.
Within minutes, crews arrived and learned a worker had fallen into a trench box. Crews performed a high-angle rope rescue to retrieve the worker.
By shortly after 9 a.m., fire crews successfully rescued the worker, Christian said.
Information about the victim is not being released, but they were transferred to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
