What a difference a cold front makes.
Denver is forecast for chilly summer weather Thursday with highs in the lower 70s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There’s a 60% chance of showers, likely to begin after 3 p.m. Expect cloudy skies and a high of 71 degrees.
“It will be much cooler today with light rain showers and low clouds,” the NWS said. “Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible mainly west of the Continental Divide and south of Interstate 70. Small hail, heavy rain, and wind gusts to 40 mph will be possible under these storms. To the north of I-70, chances for thunderstorms will be low, but can`t be ruled out.”
