Denver police investigate double homicide in Central Park neighborhood

The Denver Police Department on Monday morning launched a double homicide investigation after two women died in the Central Park neighborhood.

At 6:52 a.m., the incident began as a death investigation when police found one woman dead, and another woman injured, inside a residential building in the 3200 block of north Syracuse Street, according to DPD.

Police said the victims sustained blunt force injuries.

The injured woman was transported to the hospital, where she died a short time later, DPD said on social media platform X at 9:15 a.m., while upgrading the incident to a double homicide investigation.

“Investigators believe they are in contact with all involved persons,” police said on X.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death, police said.
