Charges filed against suspect in fatal Highlands Ranch hit and run

The man accused of driving onto a Highlands Ranch sidewalk earlier this week and hitting three people, killing one, has been officially charged by the 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Adam Robert Bauserman, 28, appeared via video conference in Douglas County Court Friday morning to hear the charges filed against him. Bauserman appeared from jail, dressed in an orange jumpsuit.

The criminal complaint filed Thursday charges Bauserman with one count of vehicular homicide, two counts of vehicular assault, one count of second-degree assault, one count of reckless driving and three counts of leaving the scene of a crash.

Bauserman is accused of driving his truck onto a sidewalk at about 10:30 a.m. Monday on Wildcat Reserve Parkway. Three pedestrians were hit. Witnesses told police they believed Bauserman may have intentionally hit the pedestrians and was driving at a high rate of speed before the crash.

Two of the pedestrians suffered serious injuries, while Corrine McIntosh More, 35, was killed.

Bauserman left the scene and was arrested about 15 minutes later a few miles from the scene of the crash, according to his arrest affidavit.

At the time of the crash, Bauserman had a suspended license due to a previous DUI, 9NEWS reported. That DUI happened in April 2025, with court records in the case indicating his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.

Bauserman remains in custody at the Douglas County jail on $100,000 bond. He is due again in court next Friday.
