Colorado Springs native Caitlin Kramer sticking with Colorado State
Caitlin Kramer, a 2024 Air Academy graduate, announced her intention to return to Colorado State for her redshirt sophomore season in an X post Monday night.
“Staying home!” she wrote.
The 6-foot-3 Kramer appeared in 15 games for the Rams during the 2025-26 season, scoring five points with seven rebounds and three steals.
The decision to stay is growing increasingly newsworthy. The Sporting News reported late Monday that nearly 1,200 players – nearly a quarter of total players on NCAA Division I rosters – were in the portal.
Among the players in the portal, according to multiple sources, is Air Force’s Bhret Clay. The New Mexico native was named to the Mountain West All-Freshman team this past season after averaging 25.98 minutes per game with 5.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.
Entering the portal does not guarantee a player will leave their current school but opens up communication with other programs.
