DU’s Sara Rask wins alpine slalom, leads Pios to top of Denver Invitational standings | Colorado Sunshine

Where good news shines

The Denver Pioneers ski team opened its alpine season with a bang.

Led by three podium finishes on the women’s side, the host Pioneers led the team standings in the Denver Invitational at Loveland Ski Area on Monday.

Denver’s Sara Rask picked up a season-opening win in the slalom. It was her 16th career victory.

Colorado’s team had three podium finishes in the slalom races. Louison Accambray finished second on the women’s side, while Stanley Buzek and Feb Allasina finished second and third on the men’s side, respectively. Colorado was second in the team standings.
