Man killed in fatal crash in Aurora
A man was killed after his car slammed into a tree in Aurora early Friday.
Aurora Police Department officers responded to the crash at about 5:50 a.m. Friday near the intersection of East Iliff Avenue and South Elkhart Street, according to a news release. Officers determined a car had crashed into a tree.
The sole occupant of the car, an adult man, was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Police did not identify him.
Aurora’s traffic investigations team was on the scene.
The Arapahoe County Coroner will provide an identification and cause of death, pending family notification and an autopsy.
The roadway was cleared at about 8:35 a.m. Friday.
