New TV series will highlight “harrowing adventures” of Colorado mountain wrecking companies
An all-new adventure docuseries, Rocky Mountain Wreckers, is coming to Colorado, and it will highlight work on the often treacherous I-70 mountain corridor that crosses the Continental Divide. The series is commissioned by The Weather Channel television network, and is currently in production to air next fall.
According to a press release from Great Pacific Media, the show will follow the “harrowing adventures” of four family-owned heavy wrecking businesses, including Reliable Towing in Longmont and Mountain Recovery based in Vail. Both Reliable Towing and Mountain Recovery offer a variety of towing services, including heavy-duty and roadside assistance.
The press release explains that Rocky Mountain Wreckers will provide an “in-depth look at the teams of professionals who risk their lives daily to keep these Interstate highways open,” as well as show viewers how they can travel safely under difficult weather and climate conditions.
The series “captures the real peril and drama inherent in some of the most dangerous jobs in the world, set amongst some of America’s most breathtaking landscapes,” David Way, president of Great Pacific Media, said in the release.
