Colorado brewery making beer with flavors of pizza and spicy ‘pepperoni kick’
Colorado beer lovers are sure to be curious about a new Voodoo Ranger variety coming from New Belgium Brewing Company, which is headquartered in Fort Collins.
The well-known beer maker is set to release an IPA inspired by pizza in collaboration with Tombstone Pizza, reportedly to be available in four packs on April 7 – which happens to be National Beer Day.
Dubbed the Voodoo Ranger I(Pizza)A, the 7 percent ABV beer is said to feature “the flavors of Tombstone’s crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, and savory herbs and spices” with a “finishing pepperoni kick of heat.”
This Voodoo Ranger variety adds to a long list of Voodoo Ranger releases available from the company, including popular options like Voodoo Ranger 1985 Mango IPA, Voodoo Ranger Juice Force hazy imperial, and Voodoo Ranger Hard Charged Tea.
The Voodoo Ranger line was first released in 2017 and has since evolved to include two dozen-plus options with varied availability. The cans are highly recognizable thanks to a skeletal mascot that appears in different outfits matching the theme of each release. Voodoo Rangers also tend to be high in alcohol, with some reaching 9.5 percent ABV.
