WARNING, GRAPHIC: Photo shows painful result of ‘finger caught in ski binding’

Heads up – the social media post found below is extremely graphic. Do not keep scrolling unless you’re fully prepared to see a photo of a brutal injury.

Many skiers have felt the pain of getting their finger snagged in a binding – but what happens if the binding fully clamps down?

As one might expect, the result is very painful and visibly jarring, smashing the flesh of the finger down to the bone, potentially resulting in a fracture, as well.

A recent social media post published by ‘Savage Paramedics‘ shows what this looks like, with a finger maimed by an incident in ski bindings in a way that will have any skier who sees it exercising extra caution around their gear.

Without further ado – and hopefully there’s been enough text in the piece to give everyone not ready to see this graphic image of an injury the chance to bounce out of the article… hint hint… seriously, it’s gnarly – here’s a look at the result of getting a finger stuck in a ski binding –

… seriously, if you’re squeamish, hit the ‘back button’…

Ouch – details about the extent of the injury and recovery weren’t included in the post, but either way, this is a good example of why skiers should be careful when handling gear.
