Everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to learning how to ski. With guidance from experienced instructors, ski schools are a great way to begin.

USA Today recently published its list of the best ski schools in the U.S., and one Colorado ski school made the list.

Nominated by an expert panel, selected by editors, and voted on by readers, USA Today’s 10Best is a readers’ choice award that highlights the best in destinations, food and drink, hotels, and things to do.

The Copper Mountain Ski & Ride School took ninth place. The ski school offers group and private lessons and can also accommodate family lessons and adult clinics. Youth group lessons and seasonal programs are open to kids ages three to 17. The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center also provides adaptive lessons.

The Ernie Blake Snowsports School at Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico was ranked as the best ski school in the U.S.
