Spot patrons claim is “best bakery in Denver” set to move to new location
In the same span of weeks that one Denver-area James Beard Awards semifinalist is set to close its doors, it’s looking like another semifinalist will be opening a new location.
Getting the semi-finalist nod from the James Beard Awards in 2023 in the ‘outstanding pastry chef or baker’ category (shout-out Ismael de Sousa), Reunion Bakery will be moving to a new location. Currently, Reunion Bakery is serving up tasty bites out of The Source Hotel and Market Hall, along with several other popular establishments. Come March 8, however, that will change.
Per an announcement from Reunion, March 8 will be the company’s last day at The Source. After that, they’ll be moving into their own spot on South Pearl Street in Platt Park.
According to reporting from The Denver Post, their new address will be 1240 S. Pearl Street and an opening could come by the end of March. Find Denver Post’s full announcement article, which includes a bit more about the pastry chef behind the spot and how the menu might be expanding, here.
Reunion Bread is highly rated on Google at 4.7 stars and it’s got a 4.6-star rating on Yelp. Numerous patrons refer to the spot as the ‘best bakery in Denver,’ which is on par with Food & Wine including them on a piece highlighting the ‘best bread in Colorado’ in 2022.
