National Park Entrance is Free on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

While the National Parks Service substantially cut the number of free entrance days from 2017 to 2018, one free entrance day is almost here. On January 15, entrance fees will be waived at National Parks across the country in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. If you’re in Colorado, there are four parks you can visit, including Rocky Mountain National Park, the Great Sand Dunes National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Other free entrance days this year include April 21 (National Park Week), September 22 (National Public Lands Day), and November 11 (Veterans Day).
