Police give update after shooting that killed man at Denver apartments
A man fired a shot toward Denver Police Department officers before one of the officers returned fire, killing him, at an apartment complex in south Denver last month, police said in an update on Monday.
Jordan Miller, 37, was killed in the shooting around 1:30 a.m. April 25 at Parliament Apartments at 4363 S. Quebec St., near East Quincy Avenue and South Quebec Street.
On Monday, DPD leaders held a news conference and released body camera footage from the shooting.
Major Crimes Division Commander Matt Clark said police responded to the apartments after someone called 911 and reported that he was parking his car when someone got into the car and pointed a gun at him. The victim got out of the car and ran away, Clark said. He fell while running and was treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the fall.
