WATCH: Rock blasting underway in I-70 Floyd Hill project
In an effort to improve sight lines, straighten roadway curves and alleviate traffic in a notorious stretch of I-70 corridor, CDOT is blasting into nearby mountains. The blasting process requires careful coordination with roads crews temporarily shutting down the freeway and first responders to ensure no ambulances may need to pass during a shutdown.
