Anger Management ‘Rage Room’ Said to Relieve Stress in Colorado
D-Keine
If you’ve seen the movie Office Space, you’re probably open to the idea of cathartic release through smashing electronics (in that case, a copier). While it’s not a great idea to go around damaging innocent computer equipment, there’s a new spot in Colorado Springs where this behavior isn’t just allowed, it’s encouraged. Be warned: there’s still plenty of debate on whether or not casual destruction actually relieves stress.
Fittingly named “Anger Management,” this “rage room” facility invites customers to enter a space where they’re given an array of tools from golf clubs to baseball bats for the purpose of wrecking havoc. To go with those tools comes a range of inanimate objects ready to be whacked, from computers to lamps to furniture. Customers are then given a room and the destruction commences.
Packages range from the $25 “I Need a Break” option that includes 10 smaller items to the $99 “Party Package,” which lets 3-4 people let loose on 28 small items, one medium item, and one large item. They’ve also got a $20 package where you’re allowed to bring your own breakables.
Will this experience actually relieve stress? Or is it more likely to foster future aggressive behavior? The verdict still seems to be out. Either way, this is definitely a unique thing to do in Colorado Springs.
Here’s a video that captures what your experience might look like.
We had some fun with one of our clients who runs an anger management rage room. This was some of the result! Lol!
