Polis closes restaurants, bars, and gyms in Colorado for extended period with some exceptions

Polis has announced that he’s ordering Colorado’s bars and restaurants to end dine-in services for a 30-day period, allowing them to continue to serve take-out and delivery. Polis also stated that the closure will apply to areas where large gatherings take place, including gyms and theaters.

Polis also announced that the state DMV will close through April 18.

Mayor Hancock closed Denver restaurants with similar exceptions for a longer period – 8 weeks.

Governor Polis also reported 160 positive cases in Colorado, an increase of 29 official positives, but also stated that there are “likely thousands more in the state of Colorado.” Testing snags have been limiting to data.

According to Polis, “experts estimate that we are now [in America] where Italy was two weeks ago.”
