“Homemade” explosives kill one at Colorado dog park

An investigation is underway after “homemade” explosives reportedly killed one at Grandview Dog Park in the early morning hours of February 29. Grandview Dog Park is located near Quincy Reservoir in Aurora, Colorado.

Aurora police responded to the park at about 12:49 a.m. after multiple 911 callers reported an explosion in the area. Once at the scene, a man was discovered with fatal injuries.

The death is currently being called accidental, with “homemade fireworks” believed to be involved.

The investigation into the situation is ongoing.
