Denver weather: Smoky sunshine with poor air quality continues

Denver is forecast for sunshine and hot temps Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. 

Expect sunny skies and a high of 92 degrees. Winds from the northwest will range between 8-13 mph in the afternoon. Gusts may reach upwards of 21 mph. 

Looking ahead to Wednesday night, expect mostly clear skies and a low of 58 degrees. Winds from the northwest will range between 6-13 mph. 

Independence Day will be blanketed with sunny skies and hot temps in the 80s. A light breeze from the northeast will range between 5-10 mph. 

Aside from a slight chance of showers Friday afternoon, sunny skies and hot temps are expected to continue through the weekend.

Independence Day: Sunny skies are in the forecast and a high of 92 degrees. 

Friday: There’s a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Expect sunny skies and a high of 83 degrees. 

Saturday: Sunny skies are in the forecast and a high of 91 degrees.

Sunday: There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees.
