1 killed, 1 injured in Aurora apartment shooting

Two men were shot inside an Aurora apartment early Friday morning after two separate people entered the apartment and shot the victims, the Aurora Police Department said in a press release.  

Aurora police responded to the shooting inside the apartment at the Abrigo Apartments at 12170 East 30th Ave around 12 a.m., Friday.

Upon arrival, officers found two men shot, one with life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital. 

Police said initially investigators believed that both victims had shot each other. In a subsequent press release, police noted there were two unidentified suspects who entered the apartment and shot the victims. 

One of the victims later died at the hospital, according to an update around 6:30 a.m., Friday.

Police are still investigating the incident and no suspects have been arrested at this time.
