Denver weather: Hot week begins starting with highs in the 90s Tuesday

Denver is forecast for increasing clouds throughout the day Tuesday with highs in the 90s at the beginning of a very hot week ahead, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Expect overcast conditions heading into the afternoon and a high of 90 degrees. Winds from the southwest will roll through the area at 5 to 11 mph with gusts reaching upwards of 15 mph.
“Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop over the mountains this afternoon,” the NWS said. “Most of the showers will only produce light rainfall.”
Looking ahead to Tuesday night, expect mostly clear skies and a low of 59 degrees. Winds from the north will continue between 6 and 11 mph.
Temperatures will stay in the 90s through Thursday and shoot up to 100 degrees by Friday.

Wednesday: A 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny, with a high near 91. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 99.
