Woman injured, man killed after early morning crash in Westminster

An early morning crash left a man dead and a woman injured in Westminster.

The crash happened Tuesday at about 1:20 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of 120th Avenue between Lowell Boulevard and Federal Boulevard, according to Westminster Police.

Police said a man was killed and a woman was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Eastbound lanes of 120th Avenue are expected to remain closed through the morning rush hour, police said. Drivers should avoid the area. Police suggest using 112th Avenue as an alternate route.

Preliminary information shows speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors to the crash, according to police.
