Denver residents can expect a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

It’ll be mostly sunny with a high near 95 and south southeast winds to blow between 6 to 11 mph, becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

“Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected again,” the NWS said.

“Gusty outflow winds to 50 mph and brief heavy rain are likely with the stronger thunderstorms. The flash flood threat will be limited to the flood prone areas where a quick half inch could produce flash flooding or debris flows. A couple severe thunderstorms will also be possible with hail up to one inch and 60 mph wind gusts.”
