Where good news shines

Team Colorado/CGA had a strong showing at the Junior America’s Cup this week at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore.

The team finished in third place at 2-under in the 18-team field while two golfers finished in the top five of the three-day tournament.

Boulder’s Ash Edwards, the son of Colorado men’s golf head coach Roy Edwards, tied for third at 4-under and Aurora’s Brayden Forte finished in fifth place at 3-under. Evergreen’s Tyler Long took 21st place and Boulder’s Miles Kuhl was 48th.

The third-place finish was the second-best in Team Colorado history. The 2018 squad, which featured Davis Bryant, won the event.
