A suspect is in custody after he allegedly crashed into multiple Westminster homes in an attempt to run over his ex-girlfriend’s mom Sunday morning, according to the Westminster Police Department.

Just before 10:45 a.m., Westminster police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the Hyland Greens neighborhood, according to a news release on Facebook.

There, authorities received two separate reports involving a vehicle and other homes, police said.

Initial investigations indicate the suspect first rammed his vehicle into the home of his ex-girlfriend’s mother before fleeing, according to the police.

Afterwards, police said the suspect crashed into another home, then returned in an attempt to run over his ex-girlfriend’s mom multiple times before crashing into her home again.

Police said neighbors intervened and detained the suspect until officers placed him into custody.

Authorities placed the suspect in custody and transported him to the hospital for further evaluation. No serious injuries have been reported.

Two homes are being evaluated for structural damage, according to the police.
