Denver Pioneers soccer earns home match vs. UC Irvine in NCAA Tournament on Thursday
The Denver Pioneers soccer program scored a home game in the NCAA Tournament.
Denver will host UC Irvine at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium at 3 p.m. Thursday.
The match is on ESPN+.

The Denver-UC Irvine winner plays at No. 8 seed Portland in the second round Sunday. The Pioneers earned their 15th NCAA Tournament bid and the 14th in the program’s Division I era. They are in the field for the eighth straight season.
Denver (11-7-2) claimed the Summit League tournament title with a 4-2 win over Kansas City on Saturday. The Pios reached the College Cup last season. DU coach Jamie Franks is 9-7-1 as a head coach in the NCAA Tournament.
UC Irvine (11-3-6) advanced to the NCAA Tournament as the Big West champion and will make its eighth appearance in the field.
