Denver breaks heat record for Feb. 15
Denver has broken another heat record this winter, with the National Weather Service announcing that the Mile High City saw the hottest Feb. 15 in recorded history.
The NWS Boulder said that temperatures at Denver International Airport hit 68 degrees at 2:28 p.m. today, breaking the previous record for Feb. 15. The previous record was 67 degrees, which was set in 2017.
The NWS said that the normal high for Feb. 15 is 45 degrees.
According to reporting from CBS News, this was the second time Denver broke a heat record this month. The first was on Feb. 9, when the airport weather center recorded a temperature of 71 degrees. Data from the NWS also shows that it’s the fourth record-breaking high temperature recorded this winter.
