Ikea, the Swedish furniture store, is opening a new location in North Colorado.

The company announced it will open in Fort Collins this year, its third Colorado store, according to a news release Tuesday on the company’s plans for 2026.

It was one of four new locations announced in addition to expansions in the Los Angeles, Chicago and Tulsa, Okla. metro regions.

The store will be located at 4250 Corbett Drive, at the Front Range Village shopping center, an Ikea spokesperson told The Denver Gazette. The store will be a smaller store at 64,000 square feet compared to the one in Centennial.

“Looking ahead to FY26, we will build on this momentum, focusing on continued investment in the U.S. to make IKEA more affordable, accessible and sustainable,” “said Rob Olson, interim CEO of IKEA U.S., in a news release.

FLATIRON CROSSING ADDS NEW RETAILERS

FlatIron Crossing, the Broomfield shopping mall undergoing a major redevelopment project, is continuing to add new brands this year.

The mall announced last week it will bring six new retailers with the additions of Abercrombie & Fitch, Earthbound Trading Company, Garage, gorjana, Levi’s and Starbucks.

The mall is building a 25-acre entertainment district called HiFi — short for Hello FlatIrons and a play on Denver neighborhood names like RiNo and LoDo — which will transform the shopping center’s surface parking lots and the former outdoor retail center The Village on the southwest side of the property. It will add 65,000 square feet for shops, restaurants, entertainment concepts and a 2.5-acre park.

There’s also plans to develop a 347-unit luxury apartment building with 20% affordable housing, as required by Broomfield.

Not only are there developments outside of the mall, inside is teeming with new developments. It has been attracting new tenants and big brands that have been longtime staples at FlatIron Crossing are expected to expand or launch their newest store models.

“We’re so excited about the powerful leasing momentum at FlatIron Crossing and how we’re elevating the experience inside the center to match what we are doing at HiFi,” said Kate Taggart, general manager of FlatIron Crossing, in a news release.

MEDICAL SPA TO OPEN IN WESTMINSTER

Facial Aesthetics, a medical spa, is joining The Orchard Town Center in Westminster next month, the company announced.

This will be the ninth location in Colorado for the medical spa, which was founded in 1992. It’ll be located at 14697 Delaware St. and feature six treatment rooms with services such as Botox injectables, dermal fillers, advanced skincare, laser hair removals and wellness treatments.

It’s set to open on March 9, the company said.

“As we expand into new communities like Westminster, we remain focused on scaling responsibly while preserving the physician-led model and clinical standards that have defined our brand since the beginning,” said CEO Brett Erreca in a news release.
